An open letter about why the future of hiring is human-first.
Everyone's racing to bolt AI onto hiring right now. Most of it works the same way. An algorithm decides who gets seen, and a human just rubber-stamps what the software already picked. We built HireAussie the other way around.
We're not trying to take the people out of hiring. We're trying to take the busywork out. Things like the fifteenth resume template, the cover letter nobody reads, the application that vanishes into a form with no reply. Once that's gone, what's left is an employer reading a real profile and choosing to talk to a real person, which is the part that actually matters.
That's why there's no black-box score deciding who counts as a "strong match" here. What you get instead is a profile that reads like you, screening assessments that ask the same real questions of every candidate instead of parsing keywords, and an interview request that only exists because an employer paid to send it, which means they meant it.

Questions people ask
Why do candidates pay when Seek is free?
You are paying for a page that belongs to you and never expires, not an application. It is $19 once, not a subscription, and employers pay every time they want to reach you instead of paying to post an ad into the void.
What happens to my link if I stop paying?
Nothing. Activation is a single payment, deliberately. A link you have already given to an employer should never break because of a billing date.
Can I be listed under more than one industry?
Yes, a primary industry plus up to two others. A chef who also does front of house shows up under both Hospitality and Retail.
Do employers see my contact details before paying?
No. Your profile shows what you do, where you are, your work rights and your salary range. Contact happens through a paid interview request, so you do not get cold-called off a scraped listing.
What are the screening assessments?
Multiple-choice questions an employer can attach to an interview request, the kind of thing you have probably filled in for a big retailer. They are auto-scored, so employers compare everyone on the same questions instead of on how polished a resume looks.
Is this only for Australia?
Yes. Work rights, states, salary expectations and GST are all built around Australian hiring. That is the point.
